Description: The World Bank has awarded VTT Global an assignment for ‘Knowledge, Voice, and Action: Scaling Up Investments in the Education of Girls with Disabilities in Pakistan’ under the ASPIRE program. This benchmark study investigates social factors against the inclusive education of girls with disabilities, such as parents’ attitudes and social stigma and marginalization (social norms) by relevant groups (community and teachers) in Pakistan. Team VTT is exploring personal beliefs; biases of parents and teachers; impact on education participation and experiences among (i) parents; (ii) community leaders and members (such as older persons, religious leaders, and teachers); and (iii) civil society organizations with particular attention to organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs).
