Client: USAID/MSI
Project Description: The Sindh Reading Program is a five-year initiative launched in January 2014 that aims to improve early-grade reading instruction to over 400,000 students in the province.
This assignment covers the Midline Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) and school based surveys to support the assessment of the USAID Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) and the USAID Sindh Reading Program (SRP), which began activities in the 2013-2014 school year. In addition to working in PRP/SRP-targeted schools, the midline assessment also includes light intervention schools in its sample to measure any long-term impacts of these programs. The reading assessment is targeting students in grade 3 and grade 5 in samples of schools across all eight regions of Pakistan.
